Keith McCartney

Vietnam War

Keith McCartney served his country during the Vietnam War as a member of the United States Air Force.  Making a career out of the service, he eventually rising to the rank of Major General.

In 1962 while assigned to Headquarters 13th Air Force, Clark Air Base, Philippines, in, he participated in planning the U.S. Air Force buildup in the Republic of Vietnam and Thailand.

It honors those who served in the military and on the home front and highlights the values they demonstrated in serving – duty, honor, and courage. It examines how periods of conflict have profoundly shaped American society. It educates visitors about the costs of war, both on a personal and social level.
