Americans in Wartime Experience

Carol Meredith

Vietnam War

During the Vietnam War, Carol Meredith was a telephone operator.  Troops in Vietnam used MARS radios to call the States, and operators like Carol would take the call and then connect them to family for a 3 minutes collect call.  It was during this time that Carol would meet her future husband David who was a MARS radio operator with the Air Force in Vietnam.
